I did not fully understand the dread term 'terminal illness' until I saw Heathrow for myself.
- Dennis Potter, in The Sunday Times, 4 June 1978
It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on Earth has ever produced the phrase, 'as pretty as an airport.' Airports are ugly. Some are very ugly. Some attain a degree of ugliness that can only be the result of a special effort.
Douglas Adams, 'The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul.'
Go through your phone book, call people and ask them to drive you to the airport. The ones who will drive you are your true friends. The rest aren't bad people; they're just acquaintances.

A WORD OF WARNING!
Ferry operators are in a highly competitive field of business, and there are a number of booking agents whose sites purport to be those of the ferry operators BUT WHICH ARE NOT! Such sites will tempt you with special offers which often turn out to be far more expensive than booking directly with the company concerned.
The links from this page will take you directly to the ferry company's site.
