Aquitaine, stretching from Poitou-Charente in the North to the Spanish border in the South accounts for about five percent of the population of France.  It takes in the famous Bordeaux wine growing area, the beautiful coastal town of Biarritz and the Dordogne, that part of France so loved by the Brits.
